The modern state in Iran, established approximately a century ago, was shaped as a peripheral country on the margins of the West, based on the concepts of "egocentrism" and the "center-periphery theory." A key characteristic of peripheral countries is dependency. The modern scientific and educational system in Iran was developed with this peripheral and dependent nature relative to the West. Although changes have occurred in this domain following the Islamic Revolution, yielding positive results, the current situation still falls significantly short of the vision articulated by the leaders of the Revolution. Therefore, this article seeks to identify the approach of the scientific and educational system in the Islamic Republic of Iran toward theory and theorization. The research employs a mixed-methods approach with an applied orientation. To achieve the stated objective, credible Persian sources were studied using a library-based method, and relevant information was extracted. To validate the findings, a researcher-designed questionnaire was distributed in two stages among 60 experts familiar with theorization, serving as the statistical sample. The overall finding of the research is that the approaches of the scientific and educational system in the Islamic Republic of Iran to theory and theorization include: educational-instructional approach, promotional approach, imitative approach, productive approach, and combinational approach. The first three approaches share common characteristics, the productive approach has its own distinct features, and the combinational approach integrates elements of both.
