Threats are one of the most important concepts in security studies. The unarmed security threats management model refers to a set of strategies, policies, and methods used to identify, analyze, prevent, and respond to threats that endanger national or social security but are non-armed in nature. This model is based on a combination of security, diplomatic, economic, and socio-cultural measures, aiming to manage unarmed threats in a way that minimizes costs while maximizing efficiency.
In the twentieth century, with the increasing complexity of conflicts and the emergence of strategic and critical threats to states, the physical capabilities of power and security were profoundly transformed. The complexity of security and its destructive potential grew to the extent that, in the final decades of the second millennium, states increasingly relied on micro-physical power and unarmed security threats. The development of a management model is therefore a fundamental necessity. The main aim of this study is to answer the question: What is the unarmed security threats management model?
The research employs a mixed descriptive-analytical approach and is classified as theoretical-applied. Data were collected through exploratory studies, expert interviews, and questionnaires. The statistical population included 160 intelligence, cultural, and security commanders and managers. After qualitative and quantitative analysis, the dimensions and components related to the research variables were identified to answer the research questions. The results indicated the following dimensions and components:
Information Management: Environmental scanning, planning and directing intelligence, monitoring and surveillance, intelligence oversight over security flows, alerting.
Security Management: Security establishment, controlling security flows, threat morphology, revealing threat nature, flow analysis, defense measures.
Persuasion and Cultural Management: Behavioral analysis, artistic production, religious knowledge, discourse creation, promotion of patriotism, explanation of jihad, divine piety, media literacy enhancement, persuasion, intellectual rehabilitation, thought engineering, understanding combat methods, disclosure of threat objectives, penetration and influence, transformation of security flows, interaction facilitation.
